One dollar will make a big difference this Labor Day weekend, as golfers around the country participate in the fifth annual Patriot Golf Day.Patriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides postsecondary educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
This Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2-5, golfers across the country are asked to add an extra $1 to their green fees to help fund these scholarships.
Four years ago, Major Dan Rooney, a PGA Professional and F-16 pilot, founded the Folds of Honor Foundation, raising more than $1.1 million from more than 3,200 golf facilities on Labor Day 2007.
Last year, PGA Professionals and golf facilities helped raise over $3 million for this cause, bringing the total since 2007 to more than $8.9 million while providing scholarships to 1,800 military dependents.
Acushnet Company, through its Titleist and Pinnacle golf ball brands, is a proud supporter of the Folds of Honor Foundation.

When Team Titleist first arrived at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club for this week's RBC Canadian Open, two key stats immediately came to mind: Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation.
Shaugnessy G&CC's narrow fairways, small greens and thick, penalizing rough have players putting in a little extra practice time this week in Vancouver.
Hey, what else would you expect at a national championship?Check out the sideshow below for pictures from Tuesday's practice round, and stay tuned for more pictures and updates from the RBC Canadian Open later in the week.
