Earlier this season at Titleist's Oceanside Test Facility, Team Titleist got the chance to hang out with PGA Tour rookie and Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Stallings, winner of last weekend's Greenbrier Classic, as he dialed in his Titleist 910 driver and fairway metals.
After finishing his work with the Oceanside team, Scott was excited to film his Team Titleist Rookie Q&A, in which we covered a range of topics, including his start in the game, his favorite sports team and his clutch performance at the 2010 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament.
Scott, 26, was born in Worcester, Mass., but moved to Oak Ridge, Tenn., at a young age. He played his college golf at Tennessee Tech, where he graduated in 2007, turned professional and started playing in events on both the NGA Hooters Tour and the Tarheel Tour.
Scott missed his PGA Tour card at 2009 Q-School by just one shot, and played the 2010 season on the Nationwide Tour.
At Q-School last October, Scott rolled his Pro V1x golf ball in for birdies on his final two holes to secure his 2011 PGA Tour card – "Something I've dreamed about since I was a little kid," he said on Golf Channel not long after signing his card.
On Sunday at The Greenbrier, Scott again finished with consecutive birdies – one to get into the playoff, and one to win the playoff – to earn his first PGA Tour victory, a two-year Tour exemption and an invitation to the 2012 Masters Tournament.
