The Nationwide Tour's race for 2012 PGA Tour cards began in late February in Panama City and ended Sunday afternoon in Charleston, S.C., 26 events and thousands of miles later.On the podium Sunday night at the Daniel Island Club stood 25 Nationwide Tour graduates, including Pro V1x loyalist Ken Duke, who earlier in the day had posted a 10-under 278 to win the Nationwide Tour Championship by two strokes. (Also there was Pro V1x loyalist Matthew Goggin, who won the season-opener in Panama.)With the victory, Duke jumped from No. 36 to seventh on the final Nationwide Tour money list, joining 24 others on their way to the 2012 PGA Tour.Duke was also one of 15 Nationwide graduates that trusted Titleist golf balls for their season-long and season-ending success, including Titleist Brand Ambassadors Kyle Thompson (bag pictured, right), Mark Anderson, Martin Flores and Erik Compton, who for the first time in his career will play the PGA Tour full-time next year.
Compton (pictured above) shot a final-round 7-under 65 to win the Mexico Open in June, one of 16 Nationwide events won by Titleist players in 2011.Titleist golf balls were played a total of 2,707 times in Nationwide Tour events this season, nearly seven times the nearest competitor with 394 and more than all other golf balls combined.Here's a closer look at the graduates' Titleist equipment (listed by finish on 2011 Nationwide Tour money list):
