Video: Scott Stallings' Shot(s) of the Year

There may not have ever been a less difficult task than picking Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Stallings' Shots of the Year.

(Well, at least one of them.)

If you watched the final round of the Greenbrier Classic in late July, you know what we're talking about.

That Sunday afternoon at the Greenbrier, Scott stood on the tee at the 169-yard par-3 18th hole at the Old White Course needing to make birdie to get into a playoff.

He swung back with his new Titleist AP2 (712 Series) 9-iron and sent his Pro V1x sailing just left of the flag, the ball landing 5 feet from the hole to set up a game-tying birdie.

About 20 minutes later, Stallings was back on the 18th tee with his new AP2 9-iron. This time, his Pro V1x slammed down on the green, just a foot or two away from the spot it landed in regulation. Scott cooly rolled in the putt for his first PGA Tour victory.

"I actually put my ball on the same tee that I used in the same spot during regulation," he said.

It was perhaps one of the most exciting performances of the year on the PGA Tour, influenced partly by a shot he hit at the Transitions Championship in March. That one you probably don't remember.

Scott explains in the above video.

My best memory is to see my 5 year old daughter learning how to play golf and loving it.

Most memorable moment in PGA golf was when Tiger Woods rallies to win Chevron to end a 2-year win drought.

Most memorable moment in my 2011 golf was four (4) back to back birdies on 15,16,17,18 at Eagles Nest in Maple, Ontario.

My best memory of 2011 was shooting in the 70's for the first time in 2 years, after talking some time off to concentrate on my studies, I also shot back to back birdies for the first time in that very same round!

Greatest golf moment of 2011 was having the chance to spend every Friday playing in a Couples league with my wife.  It helps that she is good and we won a lot.

Playing a round on the anniversary date on which I took up the game of golf four years earlier, I hit my first hole in one on a parr three in Oklahoma City. Titleist AP 1's, 8 iron. I hit it pure and was happy just to be on the green. My playing partners were watching as the ball landed about six feet from the pin bounced, hopped and rolled in. I didn't believe it. I thought it had rolled behind the pin and I just couldn't see the ball. My friends started texting and calling people that I had hit a hole in one and as we approached the green only three balls were on the green. I snuck up on the hole and looked in the cup and there it was, Titleist ProV1 #4 in the cup. Four years to the day I took up the game. It still gives me chills.

While playing Glen Dornoch in Myrtle Beach the first part of Nov, I came to 18th hole needing to birdie to help my team win.  I had a 102 yds to a front left pin.  Hitting my Pro VI past the pin drawing it back to within 2 feet.  What a great golf ball.

My favorite moment this past year, was hearing from my son. Who we replaced all his clubs with 910 woods/hybrid and AP2 irons before his first freshmen semester at Campbell Univeristy PGM program.  He passed his PAT on the first try using his new Titleist.  Thanks
