This week at the Web.com Tour Championship at TPC Craig Ranch, players will be making their last attempt to finish inside the Top-25 and earn a spot on the PGA Tour for the 2013 Season. Team Titleist brings you the sights from the range in McKinney, Texas, where players shake off the nerves and get into birdie mode.
In total, 43 players in the 60-player field are trusting Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls for their success, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 6 and more than all other golf balls combined. This includes 9 players who will be teeing up the new Pro V1x prototype golf balls.
Titleist is also first in the irons (20), sand, lob and approach wedges (65) and putter (23) categories.
At the 2011 Nationwide Tour Championship, Pro V1 loyalist Ken Duke carded an eagle and a birdie at 6 and 7 to open up a lead which he never relinquished on his way to a two-stroke victory. This year Duke has made the most of his PGA Tour membership with six top-10 finishes.
Like Duke in last year's event, the field this week will be taking aim at pins in hopes their final score grants them the right to call themselves both a Web.com graduate and 2013 PGA Tour member.
Check out the slideshow above for a closer look at some action from around the course and on the range.
This is exactly why I play Pro V1's! I love Titleist I just only wish I would have recieved the prototype new Pro V1's. I never got any shipped to me.
