Imagine if after a round, you could turn and tell your buddy, "I'll see you next week at Pebble."
That's just what Team Titleist did last week when we parted ways with the Titleist tour van and the seven players inside the Top 10 who relied on a new 2013 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball for their success at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
So here we are, standing on the Monterey Peninsula with one of the most entertaining fields of the season. Where else can you find the 2012 U.S Open Champion and Titleist Brand Ambassador Webb Simpson and TV star Ray Romano on the same pairing sheet?
Whether professional or amateur, the majority of players know performance is the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x, Titleist is the overwhelming top choice in golf balls at the Pebble Beach Pro Am with 102 of the professional players in the field of 156 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 23, and more than all competitors combined.
There are 111 amateurs teeing up Titleist, more than five times the nearest competitor with 21.
Simpson is one of 60 professionals who will be relying upon a new 2013 Pro V1 (12) or Pro V1x (48) golf ball this week.
Titleist was also the favorite in the sand, lob and approach wedge (128) and putter (56) categories.
Curious to know who else was spotted on the range this week with a 913 driver, Titleist irons, a Vokey Design wedge or custom Scotty Cameron putter in hand? Then click on the slideshow above to see what players like PGA Tour rookies and Titleist Brand Ambassadors Ben Kohles and Morgan Hoffmann were up to this week at Pebble.
