The first leg of the FedExCup playoffs are behind us following an exciting win last week by Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott.
From here, it's only going to get more intense as the PGA Tour playoffs move to New England this Labor Day weekend for the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Just 100 players remain, and the PGA Tour elite will need their "A" games to manage the demanding 7,241-yard, par-71 layout at TPC Boston. Only the top 70 players will move on to the penultimate playoff event, the BMW Championship, which will be staged in two weeks in Chicago. Among these 100 players with hopes still alive for season-ending glory, 61 are trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball. That's more than four times the nearest competitor with 14, and more than all other competitors combined.
Titleist is also the top choice in the irons (25); and sand, lob and approach wedge (92) categories.
Check out the slideshow above to go inside the ropes with Team Titleist at TPC Boston, as we watched Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott, Bill Haas, Jason Dufner, Webb Simpson, Charley Hoffman, and Jimmy Walker (to name a few) gear up for the unique Monday finish at the Deutsche Bank and set their sights on the top of the leader board.
Play well this weekend! #TeamTitleist
Winning a PGA Section Championship is an honor every PGA Professional dreams about. Winning 13 section championships, well that's beyond the realm of daydreams - except for one PGA Professional in Nebraska.
On August 13th, trusting his Pro V1x golf ball and a bag full of Titleist equipment, PGA Master Professional and Titleist Leadership Advisory Staff Member Jim White turned in a winning total of eight-under-par 208 to capture the Nebraska Section PGA Professional Champion title - his 12th victory at the event.
Hailing from the West Nine & Learning Center, Jim has at least one Nebraska Section PGA Championship victory in each of the last five decades. When he's not competing, Jim believes in growing the game of golf from behind the scenes. Just one example of this commitment was Jim’s leadership role twenty-two years ago when he led the charge in creating the inaugural Nebraska State Open. Titleist Brand Ambassador Peter Malnati won the 2010 and 2011 Nebraska State Open before ramping up his professional career, which continues to soar after his first career win on the Web.Com Tour at last week's News Sentinel Open.
Additionally, Jim was instrumental in starting the Nebraska Golf Fore the Troops tournament. To date, this event has awarded over $60,000 in scholarship funds.
So, Team Titleist called Jim to ask him a few questions about his competitive spirit, his role as a PGA Professional and to share any advice for young players. Take a listen to some of the highlights from the interview below and join us in wishing Jim the best of luck on making it a baker’s dozen next year.

If you need motivation to squeeze in a few more rounds of golf this summer, we have a fabulous reason to get out to the golf course this weekend--Patriot Golf Day.
So, if you're planning to tee it up this weekend (Aug. 30- Sept. 2), you can show your support by adding an extra $1 to your green fees at participating golf courses and your donation will help fund Folds of Honor Foundation Scholarships.
From there, enjoy the day and play some good golf!
It’s a great cause that we’re very proud to support, so we hope you’ll join the mission this weekend. Follow this link to find a golf course participating in Patriot Golf Day,
About Patriot Golf DayPatriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for the Folds of Honor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides postsecondary educational scholarships for the children and spouses of military men and women disabled or killed while serving our great nation. On Labor Day weekend, golfers across the country are asked to add an extra dollar to their greens fees to fund Folds of Honor scholarships. We’ve all been there. Just a few paces off the green and looking to chip it close so we can salvage a par. And while it sounds easy, we know all of the questions that start to run through our collective minds as we step up to the ball…What shot should I play? What club do I pull? What is the right strategy to get the ball up and in?Well, we checked in with the 2012 U.S. Open Champion and Titleist Brand Ambassador Webb Simpson for a little advice.
"What I see a lot of amateurs do wrong is they pull out a 60° wedge and they try to loft it, but we're not going to do that," Simpson explains. "The goal is to get the ball on the ground as quick and as short as possible, and let it roll out like a putt."
Take a look at the video above to hear the rest of what Webb has to say on how you can hit your chips closer and lower your scores.

On Monday, June 26 at Congressional Country Club, The Titleist Tour Trailer opened its doors to begin Tour seeding and validation for the new prototype AP1, AP2, CB and MB irons (714 series) on the PGA Tour. And many eager Titleist Brand Ambassadors arrived exactly at 8 o'clock that Monday of AT&T National week to unbox their new sets.
But for Jason Bohn, 8 a.m. wasn’t early enough. “I was the first one here, buddy, I was ready,” said Bohn. “The alarm went off at 5:30 this morning, I was excited to get my new irons.”
In the weeks since, over 20 players on the PGA Tour and more than 70 across the worldwide professional tours have put a set of the new prototype irons in play, capped off by the ball striking display of Titleist Brand Ambassador Jason Dufner (prototype AP2 - 714 series) during his victory at the PGA Championship. In addition to Jason's major victory, the new prototype irons have also been trusted in victories on the PGA Tour (AP2/John Deere Classic), the Web.com Tour (AP2/News Sentinel Open) and the Champions Tour (MB/Boeing Classic).
The week before his historic PGA Championship win at Oak Hill, Jason spent time on the range and in practice rounds with Titleist Tour Rep Chris Tuten dialing in his new AP2 prototype irons (714 series). Jason put the new set in play for the first time that week at Firestone, where he finished T4. Between rain showers and practice sessions, Jason shared his feedback with Team Titleist.“The new 714 irons, I play the AP2’s, are really nice. The sole seems to be a little bit better, the bounce is configured a little bit differently. They feel really solid all around, even if you catch one a little thin or a little heavy, it’s just going through the turf really nice.”Team Titleist has continued to check in with other players throughout the summer and gather their feedback as the tour validation process moves forward. So, check out the video above to hear more from Titleist Brand Ambassadors Jason Dufner, Jason Bohn, Ben Curtis, John Merrick, Brett Rumford, Erik Compton, Ben Kohles, Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale and Jimmy Walker. Make sure you stay tuned to Team Titleist to get the latest news and info as the new family of Titleist irons make their journey from tour prototype to production.
