Every year, the PGA of America stages the PGA National Championship (PNC) to showcase the talents of its members, the PGA club professionals and teachers whose dedicated efforts grow the game and enrich the golfing experience for us all.

While just making it to the PNC is considered a great accomplishment, once these PGA pros step up to the first tee, they know the journey has just begun.

On the line: The Walter Hagen Cup and tickets to the PGA Championship for the top-20 finishers - a special opportunity to represent their 27,000-plus colleagues at the season's final major championship.

Earlier this year at Sun River (Ore.) Resort, a field of 312 players who advanced from the 41 PGA Section Championships, along with past Champions, teed it up for the 46th playing of the PNC.

And when the last putt fell (actually it was a 95-yard hole out by Rob Labritz during a playoff), 11 of the 20 players who earned exemptions to the 2103 PGA Championship put their trust in a Titleist golf ball. The Titleist golf ball loyalists who will be competing this week at Oak Hill Country Club include:

PGA Professional Hometown Club Affiliation
Ryan Polzin San Antonio, TX Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston
Mike Small Champaign, IL University of Illinois
Mark Sheftic Hanover, PA Merion Golf Club
David Muttitt Dallas, TX Paa-ko Ridge Club, Sandia Park, NM
David McNabb Mt. Clemens, MI Applebrook Golf Club, Malvern, PA
Kirk Hanefeld Claremont, NH Renaissance Club, Haverhill, MA
Stuart Smith San Gabriel, CA Somerset Country Club, Reno, NV
Lee Rhind Livingston, Scotland Midland Country Club, Midland, TX
Rob Labritz Hartford, CT GlenArbor Golf Club, Bedford Hills, NY
Danny Balin Rockville, MD Burning Tree Country Club, Greenwich, CT
Bob Gaus St. Louis, MO Tower Tee Golf Center, St. Louis, MO

Back in June, the Titleist FittingWorks van was on-site at the PNC to assist Titleist staff members with last minute equipment needs and adjustments.
