After impressive wins in Hawaii by Titleist Brand Ambassadors Zach Johnson and Jimmy Walker, the western swing shifts fully into gear this week, as the PGA Tour returns once again to California's Coachella Valley for the Humana Challenge.

Historically, this pro-am event has been a shootout. Last year, the three host courses (Arnold Palmer Private Course at PGA WEST, Jack Nicklaus Private Course at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club) ranked as the three easiest used in 2013. To underscore that bit of trivia, consider that the cut line at the 2013 Humana fell at 10-under 206! It promises to be an exciting and entertaining week as players will be firing at every pin and leaving no putt short.

And as the official counts come in,Titleist is the overwhelming top choice in golf balls at the Humana Challenge with 98 players in the field of 156 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19. Titleist was also the favorite in the iron sets (41) and sand, lob and approach wedge (159) categories.

Check out the slideshow above to go inside the ropes and see how the players including Titleist Brand Ambassadors Geoff Ogilvy, Brendon DeJonge, Tyrone van Aswegen, Jason Bohn and Brad Fritsch, among others, are preparing to go low in the California desert.

Good luck to the field!
