Players will once again battle at The Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. The par-70, 7,166-yard TPC course will test every shot in the bag and the eventual winner will need to put four great rounds together to separate himself from the talented field that has assembled this week.
At a tournament where victory will likely be decided by a single shot, 100 players in the field of 156 will trust a Titleist golf ball for their success, more than 4 times the nearest competitor with 21 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the top choice among players in the sand, lob and approach wedge (141) category.

When facing difficult bunker shots, a lot of great sand players rely on their powers of visualization and paint a picture in their minds of the exact shot they want to play. They envision the arc of the shot, how far it should fly and precisely where the golf ball needs to land in order to get close.
And in the tip above, Titleist Brand Ambassador John Peterson walks us through his technique and thinking process when faced with a bunker shot to a short-sided pin.
In a deep bunker with very little green to work with, John demonstrates how a few fundamentals and executing the shot with confidence can help turn this situation into a scoring opportunity.
Give John’s advice a try and hopefully you’ll be able to convert a few more sand saves when faced with a similar shot.

The PGA Tour plays the equivalent of a homecoming game this week, as the strongest field in professional golf returns to TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS Championship.
2014 marks the 30th staging of the event and this year the THE PLAYERS is adopting a new 3-hole aggregate playoff in the event of a tie after regulation play. Many players and officials had felt that an aggregate playoff is more appropriate than sudden death for a tournament of this magnitude and the new system will certainly capitalize on the most dramatic holes at the Stadium Course - the risk/reward par-5 16th, the short par-3 17th, with its famed island green and the intimidating par-4 18th, a 462-yard, sweeping crescent that is guarded by water from the tee to the putting surface.
Bragging rights are on the line this Mother's Day weekend as the best players on the PGA Tour vie for the prestigious title of "Players Champion."
With so much at stake, one choice is clear as 89 players in the elite field of 144 will trust a Titleist golf ball for their success, more than 4 times the nearest competitor with 18 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the top choice among players in the irons (36), sand, lob and approach wedge (131) and putter (52) categories.
Check out the gallery above for a quick tour inside the ropes from earlier in the week.
FAST FACT: The famous green at the par-3 17th hole was not originally intended to be an "island green". Course architect Pete Dye had only intended to front the green with a small pond in his original plans. But during construction, other holes around the course required dirt and load after load was taken from around the 17th, leaving a large depression surrounding the green. Dye's wife, Alice, an accomplished player and course architect in her own right, liked the look and suggested that excavation be turned into an encircling pond, creating the iconic hole that we enjoy today.
