Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Steve Wheatcroft birdied the first hole of a sudden death playoff to win the Albertsons Boise Open on the Web.com Tour. Wheatcroft fired a final round 6-under-par 65 to finish the tournament at 24-under-par 260.
On the Canadian PGA Tour, Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Wes Homan converted a 6-foot birdie putt on the final hole to defeat playing partner Greg Eason (Pro V1) by one shot at the Staal Foundation Open.
With three more wins this week, Titleist’s year-to-date victory count advances to 98. That's more than four times the nearest competitor with 22 and more than all competitors combined.
In total, 13,973 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2014 worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 2,251 and more than all competitors combined.

To date, Titleist golf ball players have recorded 95 victories around the world in 2014, compared to 22 for the nearest competitor. Since its introduction in 2000, the Pro V1 golf ball franchise has been the golf ball of choice for more than 2,000 champions worldwide.

The action is underway at Royal Liverpool and The Open Championship is already off to an exciting start. With early round conditions proving to be a bit tamer than expected, players are looking to post some low numbers and start their charge to the top of the iconic yellow leaderboard.
And as the world’s best players look to take home the Claret Jug, Titleist is the overwhelming golf ball of choice with 85 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than 4 times the nearest competitor with 21 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist was also the top choice among players in the sand, lob and approach wedge (151) and putter (59) categories.
