Playing a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment (including a new 915D2 prototype driver - available in November), Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy captured his eighth career PGA TOUR title at the Barracuda Championship on Sunday in Reno, NV. Geoff carded two eagles, 22 birdies, 43 pars and only five bogies in the tournament to secure a total of 49 points in the modified Stableford scoring event.
On the Champions Tour, Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Kenny Perry converted a 15-foot putt for birdie on the final hole of the 3M Championship to top Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) by one shot. Perry closed with a 7-under-par 65 for his second victory of the year and seventh overall on the Champions Tour.
Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Satoshi Kodaira closed with a final round of 4-under 68 en route to a 16-under-par 272 victory total to claim victory at the Fukushima Open on the Japan Tour.
On the Canadian PGA Tour, Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Brock Mackenzie closed with a 6-under-par 66 to secure a four-stroke victory at the ATB Financial Classic. MacKenzie's victory total of 27-under-par is the second-lowest mark in Canadian PGA Tour Canada history. The win marks his second career Canadian PGA Tour title.
And to round out the week's success, Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Keith Horne earned a three-shot victory at the Vodacom Origins of Golf at St. Francis Links to secure his sixth Sunshine Tour title.
With five more wins this week, Titleist’s year-to-date victory count advances to 106. That's more than four times the nearest competitor with 23 and more than all competitors combined.
In total, 14,867 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2014 worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 2,444 and more than all competitors combined.
