18 Shots Presented by Titleist: How to Hit a Controlled Fade with Michael Breed

Posted: August 6, 2014

It's no secret that placing your tee shot in the perfect position is going to help you set up the ideal approach into the green. So how can we help improve our chances of getting into that prime position off the tee?

As Titleist Staff Professional Michael Breed explains in our latest episode of 18 Shots Presented by Titleist, it starts with planning the right strategy and playing the best shot for the shape of the hole. Michael also walks us through his approach for how to attack a hole that requires a cut shot and he also demonstrates his keys to executing a controlled fade.

Watch the video above to learn how to add this shot to your game. And be sure to check out all of the great drills and advice featured in the 18 Shots series by clicking on the image below.

Great tip. I played recently with a long time friend whom I hadn't seen in a whole and he was raving about (and executing I might add)  your tip. However, he didn't share the info on how he is now able to work the ball. Wait'll I see him next month. LOL :-)

Nice work, the hand positions portion should be played over and over as a simple way of moving a ball as needed. Good job Michael.
