Stone is first to win with new 2017 Pro V1 prototype golf ball

Playing the new 2017 Pro V1 prototype golf ball for just the second time in competition, local favorite and Titleist golf ball loyalist Brandon Stone claimed his second career European Tour title in style with a 7-shot victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The South African was the only player to fire four consecutive rounds in the 60’s (67, 66, 66, 67), closing with a 5-under-par 67 at Leopard Creek Country Club en route to a 22-under-par victory total.

Stone won the BMW SA Open in January. He joins Titleist brand ambassador Jordan Spieth in the 2017 Pro V1/Pro V1x prototype winners’ circle, as Spieth became the first player to win with the new Pro V1x prototype golf ball the first time he put it in play at the Australian Open two weeks ago (full article).

Congratulations, Brandon!
