Team Titleist has just returned home from the HP Byron Nelson
Championship, where we spent the last few days catching up with the
Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists teeing it up this
week just outside Dallas.Titleist Brand Ambassador Gary Woodland – who was born in Topeka, Kanas, and played his college golf at the University of Kansas – actually considers this a home game.It's about a five-hour drive to the Kansas border from TPC Four Season Resort Las Colinas.
Woodland (pictured below) also lived in Dallas for one year after
college, and still spends a lot of time with Dallas-based instructor
Randy Smith."This is the closest I get to home… being from
Kansas, I get a lot of friends and family down here. I'm definitely
looking forward to this week," said Woodland, who teed off at 7:44 a.m.
local time this morning.
"I think this golf course suits me very well. I have good vibes, I played
here quite a bit, when I lived in Dallas I played here quite a bit. Every hole I hit driver on here allows me to hit the fade,
and I love that. The rough stuff, I can use my driver and use it to my
advantage here for sure. That's one of the reasons I like coming back
