Graham DeLaet Blog Post: Back In Action

This is my first blog for Titleist and I’m really looking forward to sharing my 2012 experiences with all of you!

First off, I can’t say enough how excited I am to be back on the PGA Tour full time. It was a long and difficult road to recovery since back surgery in January, 2011, but my back is finally where it needs to be and I’m looking forward to getting back at it with the first event of the season, the SONY Open in Hawaii.

A lot of people have been asking me over the course of the last year what I’ve been up to – well to put it simply, I’ve been hard at work rehabbing, getting in shape, and practicing quite a bit. My game is sharper than it’s been in a long time and I feel great. I spent a lot of time in Phoenix during my rehab, working with a great team of therapists at Athletes Performance. I owe them a ton of credit for getting me back to full health. In fact, it was kind of sad to leave, but I know I’m ready and so fired up to get back out on Tour and really looking forward to catching up with a bunch of the guys out there.

There really is no better place to kick off a new season than in Hawaii. My wife Ruby and I got here a few days early and headed to Kona for 4 days. We actually didn’t do much in Kona believe it or not; I practiced in the morning and then we hit the beach in the afternoon – what a life. I feel really fortunate to do what I do and am so thankful.

New for 2012, I will be launching my personal website this week,, so be sure to check it out.

Also, here is all the gear I have in my bag heading into this weeks Sony Open:

Aloha from the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, where Team Titleist is in full force. Twenty-three of the 27 players on this week's tee sheet are Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists, including 14 of the top 15 players at the top of the leader board heading into Monday night's prime time finale.

We were on the ground at Kapalua's Plantation Course earlier in the week, catching up with players as they flipped the switch back into tournament mode.
