Performance is Clutch.
From clutch tournament-winning putts to wire-to-wire victories, it was another weekend of solid performance for Titleist golf ball loyalists. Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now combined for 35 wins on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, five times the nearest competitor with seven and more than all competitors combined.
At the Shell Houston Open, D.A. Points trusted his Pro V1x golf ball to card a 16-under 272 total and earn his second career PGA Tour victory -- and an invitation to the Masters. While on the European Tour, Marcel Siem relied on his Pro V1x golf ball to secure a three-shot, wire-to-wire victory at the Trophée Hassan II.
In Thailand, Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Hend captured the inaugural Chiangmai Golf Classic for his third Asian Tour title. And in Indonesia, Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Ho-sung Choi drained an eight-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win the Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia PGA Championship.
Here’s the Team Titleist weekend wrap-up…

PGA: Shell Houston Open
Winner: Pro V1x golf ball loyalist D.A. Points
Points began his week at the 2013 Shell Houston Open Thursday by holing nine birdies en route to an opening round 64. And while there were a lot of low scores and lead changes, there was no looking back for Points.
Playing steadily throughout the weekend, D.A. found himself with a one-shot lead on the back nine Sunday before the rain came and forced a three-hour delay. After the storms passed, Points calmly returned to the course and converted four consecutive pars, highlighted by a couple of clutch up-and-downs on the final two holes, en route to a 6-under 66 and a 16-under 272 victory total.
"I was hitting it kind of where I needed to hit it and where I wanted to hit it," Points said. "I was making good decisions and hitting good chips and pitches and solid putts. I was just playing really, really good golf."
The performance fueled an emphatic, celebratory fist pump from Points on the 72nd green and earned D.A. an invitation to the Masters, a two-year exemption on tour and an invite to the 2014 Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben Crane, who played alongside Points Sunday, tied for fourth place, two shots back, marking his best finish of the year. In fact, of the 15 players who finished among the top 10 and ties, 12 trusted a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, including runners-up Billy Horschel (New 2013 Pro V1x) and Henrik Stenson (New 2013 Pro V1x) . Stenson’s performance moved him into the Top 50 in the Official World Ranking and helped him punch his ticket to Augusta.
