When we find ourselves in a greenside bunker, it's often at a time we most need to get up up and down for par to keep the round going in the right direction. And sometimes the thought of hitting a bunker shot can cause a million thoughts in our heads, which only complicates the matter.
So, let's turn to an expert to simplify things.
Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Luke Donald has a long-standing reputation for his short game, particularly his bunker play. Luke's strategy focuses in on his ball position and the shaft angle at setup so the bounce of his wedge helps lob his Pro V1x accurately toward the pin with touch.
Check out the video above and share what works for you with the rest of Team Titleist in the comments below.

In five professional competitions around the world last week, 392 players trusted a Titleist golf ball for their success. Two of those players entered the winner's circle, as Pro V1x loyalist Woody Austin captured the Sanderson Farms Championship on the PGA TOUR and Pro V1 loyalist Beatriz Recari triumphed at the Marathon Classic on the LPGA TOUR.
With two more wins, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 82 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, nearly three times the nearest competitor with 28 and more than all other competitors combined.

With dreams of hoisting the Claret Jug as 2013 Champion Golfer of the year, 156 players made the journey to Muirfield for the playing of the 142nd Open Championship.
The conditions at Muirfield are dry, firm and fast, which has elevated the difficulty of scoring and level of competition for The Open. And with so much on the line, 91 players in the field of 156 are trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success this week – that’s more than four times the nearest competitor with 21 players and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist is also the top choice in the iron (39) and sand, lob and approach wedge (142) categories.
For some, like Titleist Brand Ambassadors Jimmy Walker, Graham DeLaet and Bud Cauley, this week marked their first start at The Open.
While others, like Titleist Brand Ambassadors Zach Johnson, Webb Simpson, Adam Scott who are joined by Pro V1x loyalists Bubba Watson, Angel Cabrera and Padraig Harrington in pursuit of another major to add to their résumé.
With Muirfield not wavering, a Sunday finish atop of the iconic yellow leaderboard will most certainly require a historic performance. Enjoy the weekend, have your early alarm or tee times set for Sunday and be sure to root for your favorite members of #TeamTitleist.

At Muirfield, Team Titleist caught up with the newest official member of the PGA TOUR, Jordan Spieth, who gained his card after capturing the John Deere Classic in dramatic fashion. Spieth was so confident about his play entering last week that he made sure he and his caddy had their passports ready to board the charter for Muirfield, a perk afforded to the participants of the John Deere Classic who were also playing in the Open Championship."I was just feeling really comfortable with my game," said Spieth while visiting the Titleist Support Vehicle on Tuesday. "I played well at Congressional and everything was coming together. I am really looking forward to this week."Spieth didn't have much time to celebrate, as he had to catch the charter flight to Europe. He rested Monday and was seeing Muirfield for the first time on Tuesday, although its not his first time playing links golf.Watch what the 19-year old Titleist golf ball loyalist says about his stunning win, his set composition for Muirfield, and how important his confidence in the golf ball will mean given the course and weather conditions this week.
This week we've talked a lot about the short game. We've heard from Master Craftsman Bob Vokey on wedge setup for The Open Championship and TPI Co-Founder Dave Phillips shared some advice on how to escape the infamous pot bunkers that cascade across the Muirfield layout.
And with the many different short game scenarios that are found on a Scottish links course, we've also enlisted PGA Professional James Sieckmann (one of the leading short game instructors in the game) to share some of his thoughts on wedge play at The Open Championship.
Check out the video above to see what James had to say about what it will take to execute shots when facing tight-lies, gusting winds and firm greens. He shares some great advice that we will definitely be taking to the course the next time we tee it up.
