It was a quick flip of the European Tour calendar as the 2013-14 season kicked off this week with the South African Open. And carrying over the excitement from last week’s finale in Dubai that featured Pro V1x loyalist Henrik Stensontaking home the DP World Tour Champions title along with the season-long Race to Dubai, Titleist Brand Ambassador Morten Ørum Madsen began the new season in style, trusting a Pro V1x golf ball and Titleist golf clubs through the bag in claiming his first career European Tour title.
Madsen’s win highlighted a weekend in which Titleist golf ball players claimed five victories around the globe, including Shanshan Feng’s win at the CME Group Titleholders (Pro V1x/LPGA Tour); Luke Donald’s successful defense of his title at the Dunlop Phoenix (Pro V1x/Japan Tour); Titleist Brand Ambassador Aron Price’s win at the Gloria Jeans New South Wales Open (Pro V1x/Australasian Tour); and Guang Ming Yang’s victory at the China PGA Champions Chongqing Event (Pro V1x/China PGA Tour).
To date, 21,391 players around the world have trusted a Titleist golf ball on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, more than six times the nearest competitor with 3,252 and more than all other competitors combined.
Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 155 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, more than four times the nearest competitor with 39 and more than all other competitors combined.
This is Team Titleist, let’s wrap-up the week…
