I'm getting 5-8 mph faster initial ball speed with the 2013 TEST balls which, according to the readings, will give me omore yards of carry. These balls are also more durable and did not scuff as easiliy with wedges. The feel on partial swings and off the putter face is really soft.

I can't wait to try them out in the spring.

RE: Mitch D replied to RE: F.J.L replied to Re: new pro V 1 golf balls

<!--[if gte mso 9]>

You're welcome for the feedback. You asked, "What is your handicap and swing speed?" Both certainly aren't as good now as they were when I first retired in 1999. lol

When I first retired I only played stiff shafts and had a swing speed near 100 and a handicap around 10. As I get older my swing speed has gotten slower... now my shaft choices are between regular and stiff, with a swing speed ranging between 85 and 90... depending how this old body and the weather affect my swing. My handicap presently can vary from 11 - 13 again depending on course conditions and how I am feeling.

Thankfully the new technology from Titleist has allowed me to buy a better game and change the shafts in my driver, fairway metals, and hybrids as needed. I spend at least 1/2 hour stretching before heading to the course... try to golf every day weather and body permitting. I am fortunate enough to live on the wet coast in BC with very little snow... except for this week. ( sigh) Play well over 200 rounds of golf a year which isn't bad for an oldduffer who now has arthritis and survived 2 heart attacks.

Wish you all a very Merry Christmas as well as a healthy and prosperous New Year. Keep it in the short grass.

factor in that it shows that you the giver care about quality which is a reflection of the individual/company because you obviously strive for the very best and that you wish to exceed client expectations in all that you do.

Now as you know, Titleist ProV's are not cheap when purchasing retail nor are they when purchased wholesale either and to further let you know, there is very little profit margin in them which keeps most specialty advertising sales executives from selling them. They choose to sell other brands where the profit margins are much more lucrative in comparison. The reason for the low profit margin, IMHO, is simply this in that you're buying the best and Titleist stands by their standards, which are uncompromised and again, trust me, they maintain an extremely high standard because they continue to invest in their brand by doing the R&D, etc.to ensure that you're going to get the most revolutionary high end product that is available to the select golfer/end user.

I've seen competitors buy the previous year's ProV's once they are advertised as a "Clearout" and then spend the money on creating new artwork for their client and then get them printed locally and lastly sell them for that year's price to make a nice little profit. I caution my clients regarding this possibly happening by letting them know about the changes made, for example, to the box, the A.I.M as mentioned earlier, etc.

So if you're buying for your business, I would suggest a specialty advertising firm to imprint your corporate identity and continue to put your advertising dollars to good use. If you're buying non imprinted Titleist ProV1's off the shelf, I would recommend that you visit your Pro Shop where they can have Titleist emboss your customer's name (or nick name like BOOMER) on a one dozen box of ProV's, now that's huge value toward you showing "Customer Appreciation". This will also do two other things, ensure that you are in receipt of the latest Titleist ProV product by going through a reputable retailer/seller and more importantly, the end user will surely be amazed and "WOW'd!!!" once he see's that you have taken the time to place his name on one dozen of the finest products in the golf ball industry..... and that is "Customer Satisfaction". Quite a big bang for the buck if you ask me and only Titleist offers a way to make you look more professional as well.

Now we can see why nothing is ever left to chance or compromised at Titleist. They're Class!

You were sent this email because you opted to receive email notifications when someone responded to this forum thread.

View and reply online
Here's some information that I hope will help you when purchasing Titleist ProV1 and ProV1x brand golf balls for you and your clients.

I have a company that deals in specialty promotional items and utilize several brands of balls (with Titleist being one of them) whereby the user has their logo embossed in one or two or however many colours they wish so as to convey their corporate identity.

I'm wondering if you utilize a specialty advertising firm to purchase your Titleist golf balls or do you purchase the 24 dozen off the shelf from a retailer, as in Pro Shop or a box store, etc.

The test ball also had a longer A.I.M.
I was one of the lucky Team Titleist members to test the new Pro V1 ball

this past fall and just wanted to say you will not be disappointed when

they are introduced in 2013. I have been playing the ProV1X for many

years now and this new ball outperforms it in every way. Be patient, I

We have validated our golf balls for many years through tour players, competitive amateurs and consumers well in advance of launching the final product. Our R&D Team receives feedback from these players and applies changes where appropriate to the golf ball to ensure that we release the best possible products to meet the needs of all serious golfers. The major difference you are seeing is through Team Titleist, we are now able to bring you behind the scenes into that validation process earlier and more often.

This year, through Team Titleist, we undertook one of our largest golfer validation measures to date. Thousands of our most avid Team Titleist Members across the world received TEST golf balls months ago and were asked to trial and provide feedback on how the ball performed for them. This data was (and continues to be) collected by our R&D Team. Because this process was being carried out we wanted feedback based solely on the golfers experience with the golf ball performance...not simply their interpretation of the improvements we have made. This is what yields the truest results and once again, helps us bring the best possible product to Titleist golf ball users. Think of it as a blind taste test vs a taste test where you can see exactly what you're trying before you try it. The two tests are bound to produce different results.

Lastly, we have still not yet confirmed an official date of availability for the NEW Pro V1 and Pro V1x. However, they will be available early in 2013 and details on performance and improvements upon the previous generation will be shared then allowing you to make an informed buying decision.

We appreciate your excitement for the new product but unfortunately it is still a little too early to share all of the specific details. We could not be more excited to share all of the details with you in early 2013!

Kind Regards,
Mitch D
Team Titleist Canada
