I was fortunate enough to go through a fitting in Oceanside, CA last spring. I was fit for a 15 degree FD with a Project X-8B4 6.5 shaft, standard length. I can't make it to a regional Titleist fitting centre this spring. Assuming I haven't lost any swing speed over this long winter... Can you tell me what shaft I should consider if I were to get a 15 degree 913FD? Thank you, GT
  2. Something Fujikura, probably some sort of motore speeder.  I actually have no idea in the characteristics of the Project X-8B4 6.5 shaft.  I'm just a big Fujikura fan.   I think a project X 6.5 is close to an extra stiff from other companies.  I could be wrong though, someone will know better.

I'm guessing the stock Diamana D+82 stiff tipped 0.5'' extra to make it in between a Stiff and Extra stiff just like the 6.5 8B4 is. The D+82X is closer in my experience to the 8A4 (7.0) so it might be too much.

I've played a 910Fd 13.5 with 8A4 for the last two years and I now have a 913Fd 13.5 with D+82X (tipped 0.25'' extra) and the shafts are really similar (I prefer the new 913 head tho!). Low spin, tigh feel/dispersion and explosive distance!!

Matt, If the original PX8, 6.5 was tipped an extra 1/2", would that be enough to consider the Diamana D+82X?

    Thanks,

    G

I'd say that it would be quite close, the D+ might flight the ball a little lower.

Can't you just order the FD with that same shaft again?
