  1. I have the 910 D3 - 10.5 but recently tried the 913 D3 - 10.5. I hit the 913 higher with identical settings but different shafts. Is that typical of the 913 head or is it more a function of shaft? I have the Aldilas RIP in my 910 and it was one of the stock shafts in the 913, can't rmember which one.

I did try the 913 with the Titleist/Bassara stiff 50g high shaft and it performed great. Is there an upcharge for this shaft?

    Thanks,

    Laren

    Laren,

With regards to the 913 vs. 910 metals the trajectory will be about the same.  One of the things you will notice with the 913 is a slight decrease in spin.  This decrease of spin in conjunction with a new faster face insert and more optimal centre of gravity has the 913 producing more distance than its predessor.  In your situation you may see the slight increase of trajectory due to the different shaft.

The Titleist Bassara shaft is a great sub 60 gram shaft and has been quite popular since its launch.  This shaft is part of our stock matrix which carries no upcharge.

I currently have a set of AP1's with Titleist 65i (stiff) shafts. I am seriously looking at picking up a 913 D3 driver for this years season. I am curious about whether the shafts I use in my irons provide some guidance on which shaft I should look at for the D3, or if the science in the swing between the irons and the driver is so different that one cannot draw that type of conclusion.

My current driver is a stock shaft in one of the competitors clubs (also a stiff shaft).

  4. Thanks Ryan. I appreciate your prompt response.
