Sneak Preview: Scotty Cameron Select

Earlier this week, Scotty Cameron sent along the following note to share with Team Titleist. We're pretty excited to see what's in store for 2012 – aren't you?

As we progress into a new year, my focus has narrowed and my attention to detail has become keener. I’ve been working on something new, putters that move me and excite me. Milled creations that encompass the design aesthetics developed from over two decades of putter making.

This spring, I’ll introduce Scotty Cameron Select. Dark, bold and mysterious. Sleeker and better in every way.

With this line, I wanted to create my most modern putters to date, but retain the classic style and timeless designs upon which my brand has been built. The putter is the golfer’s instrument to create measurable success on every hole.

With the Select line, I’m confident that you’ll be putting with the finest milled putters I can possibly make to inspire success in your game.

I've put together a special sneak preview for Team Titleist in the slideshow below.

Titleist Ambassador and PGA Professional Andrew Hall has a look at a simple drill that could help you deliver a crisper club on ball contact and help you better control the trajectory and distance of your chip shots.

Andrew also looks at how the stroke can change around the green depending on how far away your target is. Enjoy!

The Africa Open 2012 in Pictures

It only seems a short time ago that we were counting down to the culmination of the European Tour's 2011 season, the Race to Dubai, at the Dubai World Championships. Yet the 2012 season is already underway with the Africa Open in South Africa!

The venue for this week's event is East London GC, a par 73 measuring 6770 yards. Opened in 1893, the course offers spectacular views over the Indian Ocean and, with tree-lined fairways, will provide a stern test with driving accuracy at a premium. It is a natural course layout that meanders through coastal dunes and indigenous bush - with small greens and deep rough it should be an interesting week.

The tournament also offers some of the new members of the European Tour a chance to get off to a fast start as they seek to secure additional playing priveleges.

But it is one of the more established players, and Pro V1x loyalist, Thomas Aiken who has leapt to the top of the leaderboard, firing an opening -9 round of 64. Let's see how some of the new graduates fare come Sunday!
