913D3 - how do i lower my ball flight?

  1. I currently have 910D3 9.5, was fitted by a Titleist fitter in to the Fujikura Motore F1 65S. I have a very high ball flight due to not creating much lag, subsequently i add a bit of loft at impact rather than a delayed hit.

Want to order new 913D3, but unsure whether to go to 8.5 head and same shaft, or 9.5 head and a new shaft that may launch/spin lower than the Motore F1? Looking at the matrix maybe the Oban Devotion or the Motore Speeder might help?

Any advice would be most grateful!

    Hi Simon,

It's very difficult to make a static recommendation. We would always recommend going for a fitting to see which head and shaft combination works best for you. Because of the many variables in the way each golfer delivers the clubhead back to the ball (angle and plane of attack, speed, usual shot shape, efficiency, etc.), what works for one may not work for another.

Sorry to be so vague, but the recommendation would be to either see your pro, see a SureFit partner or get booked into one of the Titleist National Fitting Centres.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Thanks very much for your response Neil, much appreciated.

Do you have the list for Demo days, so i can see when and where the ones local to me are?

Also, does a fitting at one of the National Centres ie St Ives cost or is it a free service?

    Hi Simon,

The list of fitting days hasn't been determined yet, but should be in the next couple of weeks. It won't really get going in earnest until March (for weather reasons in general).

There is a fee charged to your pro or authorised Titleist stockist for booking the appointment and it is up to them how that is passed on to you.

    Hope this helps.
