I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the new golf balls and wasted no time in trying them out in my regular Saturday 4 ball. I can honestly say I found both the new Solo and Velocity balls excellent in all parts of my game. In particular they flew faster off the club face and I was getting height and distance from them as well. I can't really judge them in putting as our greens are not up to standard yet but they felt solid in the strike. I really liked using them both and will seriously consider purchasing these later in the year when my current stock of AD333  is depleted. My partner tried the Velocity as well and declared a liking for the ball and great satisfaction with the ball's capabilities and results. By the way we won on the 18th.

played a round today with the new nxt tour didn't notice any discernible distance gain but had my best putting day in a while and drove the ball really well! don't know if this was the ball but it felt really nice off the face and promoted a positive stroke, ergo more puts holed. I'll definitely be making the switch

Thanks for the sample balls, it was a very nice surprise! Played with a Velocity on Saturday and I really like the feel of the ball, and I was hitting it long and straight (mostly). I did find that it scuffed quite quickly, although that might just be down to the bad winter conditions we have. I'll try out the SoLo on my next round!

Tried the new Velocity ball in cold, wet and windy conditions today. The Velocity gave me 15 to 20 yards extra off the tee on soft ground so I was very impressed. I found the the new DT solo better for me in these playing condition particularly for my mid to short iron play where the soft feel really made the course easier to play. I will be looking forward to testing both the new balls in warmer weather. I expect that the new Velocity will be my ball of choice as the extra yardage will rove significant.

Thanks for the free balls.I played the velocity on saturday and sunday.As yet i havent tried the dt solo,keeping that for this weekend.The weather this weekend was hail and snow showers,that should give you an idea how cold it was.The velocity was at least 20 to 30 yards longer than my srixon soft/feel.My drives were plugging,but still carrying the distance i drive in the summer.I cant comment on the short game,as the greens were sodden and naturally stopping.Looking forward to next week already.

Hi Titleist, Played the last three days running with the NXT Tour and Velocity, approx 27 for each. Found that the NXT Tour was good but has already scuffed up and couldn't use anymore (found a lot of bunkers though). However the Velocity was excellent, great for distance and very receptive for the short shots with lots of backspin / good for putting too they also didn't scuff either so still usable. Shot 78 today and it was windy and cold (7 over par) could have been much better but can't blame the ball just the person on the end of the sticks.

Hi Neil,I have played with the NXT s balls this weekend and was amazed at the difference from my usual ball.Off the tee the ball felt really great and made a nice sound . On the greens the ball came off of the putter face very smoothly.This is a ball I can use,many thanks,Andy

Tried out the new NXT Tour ball, first shot out of bounds, not the fault of the ball. Second hole iron to within 2 foot of hole, down for a two. Good distance and control. Thought with the demise of the NXT ball may take some time to find a new favourite but now think I don't have to look far.

Thankyou for the NXT Tour & Velocity golf balls. Was very impressed with the performance of the NXT Tour ball.I am a 19 handicap player in the 70's (age wise)and play 2/3 times a week.It was great to find my drives were up with or past my playing partners, who were younger, the ball had a great feel and the durability is welcome. One of the few times I have completed a round without putting a 'smile' on the golf ball. Definitely a fan and user for the future. The Velocity ball I loaned to two of the lower handicappers in the competition - Keith (7) & Mike (12) and have not yet tried it myself but felt it may be more suited to their faster swing speeds.Both very impressed and stated good feel. which helped confidence, improved distance & playability. On a scale of 1 to 10, they both rated it 9. (Perhaps I was too generous to the lads - Keith (7) played so well with the Velocity that he won the money!) Norman Maton

Hi thanks for sending me the new NXT Tour and Velocity golf balls for trial. Played with the Velocity on Saturday, cold and windy. Really impressed with this ball. The distance was amazing, a good 15 to 20 yards more than any ball I've tried. No side spin, but on the green the ball came sharply off the putter face resulting in less control. Consequently I missed some short puts. However, a really impressive performance and for those looking for more distance, the one to buy. 

Will try that NXT Tour soon and submit my comments later.

Played today with the the NXT Tour ( very nice surprise through the post aswell) they were excellent. Ball flight consistent and seemd to be much more durable throughout the round.

Excellent off the putter as always giving me a consistent roll, one of the reasons I always use Titleist above all others.

Only thing early on in round visibility of ball in air and landing seemed to be poor.

 

All in all excellent ball as always.

Received your complimentary NXT tour & tour (s) balls in the post last week a pleasant surprise thank you tried the tour (s) out at the weekend enjoyed the softer feel around the greens but found I lost a little distance I think this was made worse by the cold weather but will certainly try them out again playing wednesday & next weekend so will keep you up dated with my progress

Thank you so much for the Velocity and DT balls, I have used the DT solos first, unfortunately consigning one of my balls to the reeds at Royal North Devon at Westward Ho! on its 2nd outing.

Before doing this the most noticeable improvement from my old Sirixon AD333's was the accuracy with my mid irons and the fact that I could stop the ball on the green. I am a 28 Handicapper, and have been playing for 2 years and just on the verge of breaking 100, with these balls I have scored 98 and 99 in my 2 outings, mainly due to the accuarcy of my 2nd, / 3rd shot which has been leaving me with reasonable putting distances.

With putting, when I do hit the ball correctly and get a good run on the ball, it has good results. Today this resulted in holing a 40 ft putt, which gave me a 3 (nett 1) on the 413 yd par 4.

When my 2nd ball does eventually find its way into the North Devon links vast reed beds, then I will continue with these balls rather than the Sirixon's. Of course I will try my 2 velocity's first and report back.

Hey I got two Velocity balls and two DT Solo balls.  Iv got to say I love the new double numbers on the Velocity balls, I got double zero.  I have been using the old DT Solos but I feel that the new ones have a softer feel on impact, they feel great with the driver.   I have noticed i have been hitting my shots a bit further which is a good thing to see.  The short game is is very responsive.  I love the new Velocity and when they come out I will be going out and buying some.  They have been adding around 10 yards extra distance onto my drives which is amazing to see!  The ball flight is nice and consistent which I like.  Over all I love the new balls and I think that they live up to Titleist's high standards.  Both balls cut my score by about 4 shots each time so I am very happy with them.  Thanks for the free samples.

Thanks Titleist for the samples. Tried the new Velocity yesterday and was very impressed with the feel and responsiveness around the greens, didn't notice any real advantage off the tee but that probably tells you more about me than the golf ball, ie Seventies 16 handicap.

Very durable, ball in pristine condition at the end of the round; always welcome.

Will comment on the NXT Tour as soon as I've had a chance to use it.
