I have played a few rounds with the Velocity ball and I like it very much. I can see me changing to these on a permanent basis now, very impressed with them.
Hi thanks for the NXT Tour S golf balls, I tried them at the weekend and cant praise them enough.
The flight and distance was great and best of all was the control you can get on the approach shots, I will definately be using these.
Thanks again for these.
Ian
I got the chance to play with the DT solos this weekend.I found them shorter on drives ,but had better feel and control with irons, putter and short game than the velocity. All in i prefer the dt solos to my Soft Feel and will play these in future.
Many thanks for the Velocity and DT Solo balls you sent me recently. I have now had the opportunity to play with both types. Getting these balls coincided with me starting work with a new coach so my experiences on the course may be attributable to either. However, of the two types I have to say that the Velocity was the ball that performed best for me. At my home club we have a very difficult shot from our 17th tee (Par 5). The shot has to be threaded between trees and the fairway slopes to the right to out of bounds. With a left to right wind prevailing, this is difficult at all levels. In a very strong wind, my tee shot flew dead straight with the Velcocity landing middle fairway ready for my second shot which is a much easier proposition. With the same ball I birdied another of our Par 5's in regulation, at 24 handicap something I have never done before, the tee shot again being easy to get wrong with a very large lake on the right and trees on the left. I have also recently been fitted for Titleist 910f fairway and 910h hybrid clubs and these are also significant in these results I feel. I also found the DT Solo and improvement on the old model but mainly in the area of feel which is rather difficult to quantify. So for me the Velocity was my preference although I would like to have tried the new NXT Tour models instead as my regular ball is the NXT Tour. I would also add that I did discover a design deficiency in the Velocity!! A very poor skulled shot found the strategically placed lake on the eighteenth and I can report that The Velocity DOES NOT FLOAT!!
I absolutely loved the new NXT Tour S - it had a lovely touch and feel around and on the green.
I do not know if it was the extermely cold weather or just a bad day on my part - but I did not get on at all well with the new NXT Tour ball - it felt far too solid for my liking - I will give it another go when the weather warms up a bit and report back !
Thank you Titleist.
just tried out new DT SoLo and does fly straighter and longer (out driving 12 handicapper)
holds well on green, now just need to invent one that you cannot lose out of bounds and we are onto a real winner
thanks for opportunity to try out new ball will be a winner looking forwrd to trying new velocity soon
Thanks for the ball Titleist, a very pleasant surprise.
I found the velocity balls to have a really solid feel. The Solo however a super, more forgiving feel and just as long so i will certainly be using them again.
Received the Velocity and DT SOLO - a very nice surprise thank you! My inintial preference was for the DT as it had a softer feel but on the course the Velocity was clearly better suited to my game. Very solid off the tee with a great flight. Good onto the greens and very true from the putter. I definately plan to put some more of htese in my bag this year.
Thanks for the golf balls. I have posted a previous experience but now I would like to update the experience when playing with in better conditions.
I tried the NXT Tour S first and found it a really soft around the greens, giving me more control than the previous NXT Tour. All this with no loss of distance so it is a real move forward.
I Then tried the new NXT Tour. This seemed to give me a little extra distance but although better than last years Tour, it didn't feel quite as good as the S around the greens.
So from now on I will be using the NXT Tour S. Thanks Titleist!!
