The range at
Aronimink Golf Club filled up early Tuesday morning with many of our Titleist Brand Ambassadors, ready for Day 2 of the seeding and tour validation process for the new Prototype Titleist
AP1, AP2, CB and MB (712 series) irons.
It was a nonstop workday in the Philly sun for our Titleist Tour Reps and Golf Club R&D teams, introducing players to the new prototype irons, answering questions and collecting feedback and data crucial to the tour validation process.
Some of the players who hit their new prototype irons for the first time Tuesday included: Titleist Brand Ambassdors Nick Watney (pictured below), Bill Haas, Geoff Ogilvy, Jason Dufner, Ben Curtis and Johnson Wagner. By the end of the day, several of them had already made the decision to game the new prototype irons this week at the AT&T National.

The seeding and tour validation process for the new Prototype Titleist AP1, AP2, CB and MB (712 series) irons is officially underway at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia.On Monday, several Titleist Brand Ambassadors were welcomed on the range with a box of the new irons, custom built to their specifications, including: Rickie Fowler, Greg Chalmers, Graham DeLaet, Troy Matteson, Matt Jones and Jimmy Walker.Titleist Brand Ambassadors Scott Stallings (AP2) and Bobby Gates (MB) got to Aronimink early Sunday afternoon and had already gotten 36 holes in playing the new prototypes.Late Monday afternoon, Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy stopped by the Titleist Tour Van to check out his new Prototype MB irons. Geoff didn't head to the range, given that he was wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts, but said he was excited to hit them Tuesday. Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Stallings arrived in Philadelphia early Sunday afternoon, ready to get in some extra practice at Aronimink Golf Club, site of this week's AT&T National."As a PGA Tour rookie, anytime you can get an extra look at a course like this you take it," said Stallings.Waiting for Scott at Arnonimink when he got there: A box of new prototype Titleist AP2 irons (712 series) with Project X shafts, built to his custom specifications.Titleist's new prototype Titleist AP1, AP2, CB and MB irons (712 Series) are being introduced on the PGA Tour this week for testing and seeding as part of our performance validation process.Scott put the new prototype AP2 irons in his bag for his Sunday practice round, which he played with fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Bobby Gates. (They got in 36 holes, with a cart.) Bobby also received a box of new prototype Titleist MB irons (Project X shafts), and put them in the bag for his practice round.Monday morning on the Aronimink range, Scott's previous set of AP2 irons were resting on the ground next to his Titleist staff bag, bound for his locker in the Aronimink clubhouse.
