Tour seeding of Titleist’s new 913 drivers began Monday at AT&T National and Team Titleist arrived early on Tuesday to find a flood of buzzing media members, spectators and players, all eager to learn more about the new prototype clubs.

From the moment they arrived on site at Congressional Country Club, the team has been hard at work, outfitting Titleist Brand Ambassadors with new prototype 913D2 and 913D3 drivers.  Experts from Titleist's Club R&D, Club Development and Tour Promotion departments are all on hand to dial in players' club specifications, collect data and solicit feedback - the essential ingredients in Titleist's performance validation process.

It's an exciting time for everyone involved, a final step that must be undertaken successfully before any Titleist product can go to market.

It's been an action-packed few days for the Titleist Tour Van at AT&T National, where the new prototype Titleist 913 drivers were unveiled to the PGA Tour Monday morning.

All hands are on deck for the start to Titleist's seeding and tour validation process, as our Titleist Tour Reps and R&D experts work with players to show, explain, fit and test the new drivers.

Three of our experts – Chris McGinley, V.P. of Golf Club Marketing; Stephanie Bezilla, Director of Metalwood Development; and Chris Tuten, Director of Tour Promotions – checked in with Team Titleist earlier in the week to discuss the new prototype 913 drivers, the seeding and tour validation process and their goals for the week at Congressional.

Hear what they had to say in the above video.

If you haven't heard, the tour seeding and performance validation process for the new prototype Titleist 913 drivers is now under way.

It began early this morning on the range at the AT&T National with the sound of Titleist Brand Ambassador Bobby Gates hitting a new prototype Titleist 913 driver for the the first time, his Pro V1x golf ball launching far down the range at Congressional Country Club.

Several other Titleist players, including S.Y. Noh, Jimmy Walker and Brendan Steele, also took their first swings with the new prototype 913 drivers today, our Titleist Tour Reps there to help them get dialed-in with their optimal shaft and SureFit Tour hosel setting.

Meanwhile, Titleist Brand Ambassador Rory McIlroy took advantage of a nice day in Ireland to test his new prototype 913 driver before getting ready to play in this week's Irish Open.

The buzz will get even louder Tuesday, as many more Titleist players arrive at Congressional, each with a new prototype 913 driver built to their specifications waiting for them in the Titleist Tour Van.
