Following last week's breakthrough win of Pro V1x loyalist Michael Thompson at the Honda Classic, the PGA Tour traveled south this week to the WGC Cadillac Championship at TPC Blue Monster at Doral in Miami, FL.
And while Thompson rides the wave of momentum from Palm Beach Gardens, this will be the first stop on the Florida Swing for Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott and Steve Stricker.
The field is stacked with 49 of the top 50 players in the world teeing it up this week at the Blue Monster and Titleist is the top choice in golf balls at the 2013 WGC Cadillac Championship with 37 players in the field of 65 relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. That's more than 4 times the nearest competitor with 9, and more than all other competitors combined.
Scott, who captured the 2012 Australian Masters with the New 2013 Pro V1, is one of 24 players who will be relying on a new 2013 Pro V1 (3) or Pro V1x (21) golf ball this week.
Titleist was also the favorite in the sand, lob and approach wedge category (72).

The PGA Tour is also competing at Trump International Golf Course in Puerto Rico at the Puerto Rico Open. A total of 87 competitors in the 132 player field will be teeing up a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than five times the nearest competitor with 16, and more than all other competitors combined.
Titleist is also the favorite in the putter (52), and sand, lob and approach wedge category (123).

It was a weekend that featured wins spanning across the globe and across the worldwide professional tours for Titleist golf ball loyalists. It was also a weekend of first’s as Pro V1x loyalist Michael Thompson secured his first PGA Tour career victory at the Honda Classic while Titleist Brand Ambassador Patrick Cantlay carded his first career Web.com victory at the Colombia Championship. Rounding out the highlights, Stacy Lewis charged to victory at the HSBC Women’s Championship and Titleist Brand Ambassador Mike Hendry successfully defended his title at the Victorian Open with his playoff win.
With the weekend success, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now combined for 21 wins on the worldwide professional tours, more than five times the nearest competitor with four and more than all competitors combined.

PGA TOUR: It was a 1-2-3 New 2013 Pro V1x sweep at the Honda Classic where Titleist golf ball loyalist Michael Thompson (New 2013 Pro V1x) achieved his dream of winning on the PGA Tour. Thompson, who finished at 9-under 271, posted a two shot victory over runner-up and Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy and four shots over rookie and third round co-leader Luke Guthrie (New 2013 Pro V1x).
Thompson and Ogilvy each closed with 1-under par 69's, two of only five final rounds under par on a punishing day at PGA National. Both players advance to this week's WGC-Cadillac Championship as a result of their performances at the Honda Classic.
"This is everything," Thompson said. "This is a childhood dream come true. I've dreamed of playing out here since I was 7 years old and to win, it's just unbelievable. I just can't put it into words. The whole day was awesome."
Among the five players who tied for fourth place was Titleist Brand Ambassador Erik Compton who earned his first top-10 finish on the PGA Tour and joined Thompson and Ogilvy as the only three players who never shot over par at PGA National. Compton closed with an even par 70 to finish at 3-under 277, six shots behind the winner.
Ogilvy also put a new 712U prototype 2 iron in the bag this week along with a new Scotty Cameron GoLo putter. Trusting a New 2013 Pro V1x golf ball and a full bag of Titleist golf clubs, he finished T9 in Driving Accuracy (71.4%) and T5 in Greens in Regulation (66.7%). Compton, meanwhile finished 8th in Total Putting.
Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball in the field of 144 at the Honda Classic with 90 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 21. Titleist was also the top choice in the sand, lob and approach wedge category with 132 Vokey Design models in play, more than twice the nearest competitor with 56, and in putters with 46 players trusting a Scotty Cameron model.

LPGA: Titleist golf ball loyalist Stacy Lewis (Pro V1x), the 2012 LPGA Player of the Year, captured the HSBC Women's Champions for her sixth career LPGA Tour title. After firing three consecutive rounds in the 60's, Lewis closed with a 1-under 71 en route to a 15-under par 273 total and one shot win.
''The last four or five holes, I was pretty nervous, I'm not going to lie,'' said Lewis. ''I just played hard and put my head down and tried to make as many putts as I could, and fortunately I came away with the win.'
Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category with 37 Pro V1 or Pro V1x players in the limited 62-player field, more than five times the nearest competitor with seven.

WEB.COM: Titleist Brand Ambassador Patrick Cantlay earned his first win as a professional after firing a final round 5-under 66 at the Colombia Championship. Cantlay, who turns 21 years old in two weeks, posted a tournament record 18-under par 266 victory total, becoming the second youngest winner in Web.com history. He bettered the previous tournament record by seven strokes.
“It feels really good to win," said Cantlay, who trusts Titleist equipment from tee-through-green. "I felt in control all day. This sets the year off on the right foot. Even though I’m one of the youngest guys out here, I feel really comfortable. Winning is why we compete. That’s why we play."

Cantlay’s 66 was the best round of the final day, while his 65 was the low round on Saturday. He advances to the top position on the Web.com money list through the first two events of the season.
Titleist accounted for a tournament-leading 100 golf ball players in the field of 144, more than six times the nearest competitor with 17. Titleist was also the top choice in the iron (44) and san, lob and approach wedge (160) categories.
AUSTRALASIAN: It was a New 2013 Pro V1/New 2013 Pro V1x playoff at the New Zealand PGA Championship where Titleist Brand Ambassador Mike Hendry (New 2013 Pro V1x) successfully defended his title on the first hole of a sudden death playoff with Scott Strange (New 2013 Pro V1).
Hendry birdied the par 4 18th hole, their first playoff hole, after the pair finished regulation tied at 19-under 269, four shots clear of Titleist Brand Ambassadors Gareth Paddison (New 2013 Pro V1x) and Josh Geary (New 2013 Pro V1x) who both finished at 15-under par.
"I felt pretty comfortable on the tee - I just said you’ve done the hard work now just finish it off," said Hendry. "To get across the line and for it to be at home and with the retention of the trophy, it’s just magic.” Hendry becomes the first person to achieve the back-to-back wins at the event since 1987.
Titleist was the top choice in golf balls at the event with 106 players in the field, more than five times the nearest competitor with 20.
EUROPEAN: Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category among the field of 156, with 109 players relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than six times the nearest competitor with 18.
