Hitting the ball too low

I have been having trouble lately with hitting the ball too low especially with my driver.  I would just like to get some more carry out of my drives.  I try to keep my weight back but that just causes a hook and I don't want that so does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

My best advice is to go to your nearest custom fitter and ask him to fit a driver for you. They will give you the best shaft, loft etc..

First of all I would start out teeing the ball up higher. If this doesn't have a great effect on the ball flight another thing to try would be moving the ball up slightly further in your stance.

I would definitely look at your ball position. I see alot of players that have there driver way to far back in there stance. I've always been taught to hit your driver in the up swing. Getting fitted for your clubs is very important, but if you don't want to go out buy a new driver you could just experiment with adjusting the loft of your driver. Good luck

What loft are you using ?....The best and simple choices to try first is what Eric recommended....Tee it up higher and move it forward in your stance....This will change your AOA and help you hit the ball on the upswing....Good luck

I was actually fit for my driver and shaft and I love them.  I have actually had the same driver for two years and have never had any problems with it until recently.

I know this might sound crazy...but if i find myself starting to hit the ball lower than desired, I pick a higher target like a cloud or a tree top.  After a few holes of that in my mind I notice my flight goes back to where I like it.  Just my .2

First I would make sure you are in a reverse k position at set up,(lead shoulder pointing to the sky)

then, make sure your ball position is just inside your left heel,(if your right handed).

and fixing the hook, you are probably swinging with your arms instead of rotating your shoulders through impact.

last, try teeing the ball up a little higher, (half of the ball above the crown).

hope that helps........... Connor.

Thanks for the tips guys and I've got the mid ball flight that I like back now!

Take a deep breath and exhale, roll your shoulders up and down, relax. Swing away...

The answer to this is difficult without being able to see your swing. Your "keep my weight back" comment concerns me in that you want your weight driving toward the target. Still, the tips you've received so far are great paces to start. 1. Check your alignment 2. Check you ball position is about even with your forward armpit 3. Tee the ball at least the height of a golf ball to make it easier to hit slightly above the center of the face. One note, don't try to hit the ball on the upswing so much - the shaft, at impact is already bowed away from the target, which creates an upward blow on its own.

All of that being said, have your pro watch you hit a few and he'll get right to the cause.

make sure you're hitting up on the ball check your loft and shaft tee the ball higher and try this tip

1. squat in the backswing

2. jump on the downswing

not only will it make the ball go higher you can get 15+ yards on your driver

I would suggest trying to follow through with higher hands. This worked for me.
