on the tee say to what what do i need to hit to get to the fairway.

if you miss a fairway dont panic just get it up around the green dont panic take your chances

on the fairway look at your options to get to the green.

if you miss a green do panic you dont play off 7 for nothing

just grind a score out thats what tournaments are all about

One shot at a time is a great way to think about it and have fun, you always play better when you are having a good time.

Re: Competition Success

One thing I do is play one shot at a time. If you're thinking about what you need to finish the hole out with or thinking about what you just did you're going to keep going down hill. So...one shot at a time.

Re: Competition Success

thanks andy, good advice, i appreciate it, will use it tomorrow

Re: Competition Success

One thing that I do when it comes to playing a tournament if it is a stroke play event is to play a match against the guys I am playing with. This can help alot if the players that are in your group are playing well. Another thing to try is not to keep track of your score in your head so you don't know where your are at, then you won't think about what has happened and focus on what is infront of you.
