I have been getting frustrated with my putting lately. It hasnt been bad but I have never lipped out so many putts before! Its a terrible feeling watching the ball lip out. The positive I take from it is atleast I am hitting the hole.  Anybody have any advice to help with my problem? Thanks guys

Every golfer has periods of this happening. When it does just ride it out. Just shows that you are close on judging the line and speed. They will start dropping before you know it.

Sounds like you are depending on the ball breaking into the hole at just the right speed and it just slides offline at the hole.    Maybe a more firm stroke will increase the ball speed enough to do the trick.   Commit to your line and roll it with  confidence.

or maybe he is hitting it too hard so the ball doesnt drop in like it normally would

Went through the same frustrating stage this summer.  Guess how I fixed that?  Practice!  I hate to sound like that old guy, but its true.  I worked on getting my speed and line right more than I ever had before, and it payed off.  Putting improved majorly and so did the score.

I have had the opposite problem where my putts stop an inch short (missed 3 birdie putts one time at National City and ended up 2 over par).   Last golf game was OK because I dropped just about all of them within 6 ft.

Probably hitting the ball too hard, so it doesn't have a chance to fall in.  Rollit so that it stops 17 inches past the hole.  That is the best speed (about 1.5 mph).

On putts under 2 feet, always aim inside the hole.  Two feet is not enough distance to curve offline.
