Will be in Bethany Beach from July 7th to the 14th and I am looking for several golf courses that could be recommended to play while there. Any ideas?

There's a course in Ocean View (just a few minutes west of Bethany proper) called Bear Trap Dunes that I like.  There are three 9 hole courses, your round will ordinarily be a pairing of two of them, but you can also set up your tee-time to include all three for a 27 hole day.  Just a little north of Bethany Beach in Long Neck there's a course called Baywood Greens that's fantastic.  It's a beautiful course that, in my experience has always been well maintained.  Another option is Bayside in Selbyville not far up the road from Bethany, and if you ventire a little south into Ocean City Maryland, there's an excellent course called Lighthouse sound.

if you are up for a little bit of drive, i highly recommend Baywood Greens and The Peninsula, probably a 45 minute drive from Bethany and both course are $80 or more during the week but both are top notch. I played both Memorial Day weekend. Also there is a place called The Heritage which is a little farther around an 1 hour but again a great course.

I completely forgot about The Peninsula.  That's another great course.

    Hi,

Just played Baywood Greens last Monday, and it's every bit as nice and in as great shape as described....and a little wind made it a nice challenge. Gotta love the island fairway hole (#14).....

         Have fun..!!

John H.....I will be in Bethanny on vacation with my family and friends of ours the 5th-12th. My buddy and I will be playing 1-2 rounds that week, so if you're looking for a TT enthusiast to tee it up with, let me know. I have just myself and my buddy playing.

Lots of good stuff already posted, but you're very close to several ones I've wanted to try when I head back to Bethany.  Three of them were mentioned in a piece about the best finishing holes in the SE PA/DE area:

Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View (should be less than 10 minutes away from wherever you are in Bethany):

    Baywood Greens (about 40 minutes):

    Bayside Resort (about 25 minutes):

Just returned from Bethany Beach earlier this week.Played Bear Trap, another course I won't name as they were very "snooty" and our favorite was Glen Riddle. Went back there twice as the staff was very courteous and very helpful. Course was immaculate and we had "fun". Thanks everyone for all your suggestions.
