We're gong to Boston for vacation and will be there at the same time for the Deutsche Bank (hmmmmmm, will have to check that out).  Any recs for courses to play in that area?  Or any other must-do golf gigs whilst out there?

Was thinking a visit to the Titleist motherland perhaps as well?  Do anyone know if they do factory tours? That would make it a spiritual mission.

    Hi Jeff,

Welcome to Beantown!  I live 20min north of the city, so if you want, you're more than welcome to play my track.  If you're in the city, Franklin Park and George Wright are classic courses.  Granite Links is another good one not far from the city.  If you're south of Boston check out Pinehills in Plymouth.  It's got two courses that are both fantastic.  PM if you want any more info.

Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

I'm headed up in October. Is the weather still ok to golf? Have a conference in Newton and tentatively coming up early to visit Manchester Lane for a fitting. Steve

October is one of the best months to play.  You'll be fine!

Jeff and Stephen, everything Josh said is right on the money.

Fall golf is beautiful here in Massachusetts and possible my favorite time to play.

A few other close courses in addition to what Josh listed: Shaker Hill, Red Tails, Butter Brook

Hope you guys have a blast.

    Hey Josh--

Thanks for the info.  Good stuff!!  Exactly what I was looking for.  We're staying in Brockton, so am thinking Granite is pretty close. Pine Hills looks pretty sweet too.  Will be a tough choice.  Thanks again.

Am bowing toward Northern, Mass. in appreciation,
    -Jeff

I agree on everyone recommendations. If your looking to check out Deutsche Bank and sneak in a round of golf on the way back from TPC to Brockton. Check out Poquoy Brook or Old Scotland Links. Both in great condition and not far from TPC. Pinehills is a great option too. If your looking for a unique New England course Shining Rock is a new course that is fantastic.
