I am heading out to the White Plains area in June for my wife to be inducted in to her college Hall of Fame. They are having a golf event at Wykagyl and just looking to see if anyone here has played it and what it is like there. Thanks in advance

Was a member there in the 80's and still play a few times a year. Great layout that they changed a lot over the last few years.. New false fronts on greens, many trees removed. 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's with 2 of them over 200 yards. Small greens that hold well since most slope back to front. Is this an Iona College event?

Joe it is an event for Iona College. My wife played Volleyball there and they are inducting her in to their Hall of Fame this coming June. Of couse once I heard there was golf involved I was all over it. Very excited to play it, looks like Donald Ross had some help orignially with the course. My course here in MN is a Don Ross course as well.. Thanks for the response

A.W. Tillinghast Course like many in our area.. They went back to original drawings of the course from the 20's and tried to bring back the look. It's very different from when I was a member in the 80's.. You will definitely enjoy the round.. Tell your wife congratulations!! I'm an Iona Alum 81' and played baseball and football while there. Great time...

Thanks and I will do that. I am excited to play it, looks amazing from the picutres Ive seen online. My CC here in Mn is one of the top one in the state and WCC makes mine look like a little towny course. Just glad i dont have to pay to play it.
