  1. I am an avid junior golfer and play many highly respected tournaments. For years, my short game never failed me, and even included a summer where I had at least 1 chip-in in 16 consecutive tournament rounds. This was when I still sported the 2009 spin milled 60-07, 56-11, 52-08 wedges. The groove change has caused me huge amounts of trouble as I have lacked the trust that they will spin how and when i want them to. I now have a 60-08 M, 56-10 M, 52-08 F with a Nippon 950 GH shaft because I was no longer allowed to use my old wedges because of the groove change. I don't care for these wedges and am finding that my technique has changed as a result of trying to cater to the new wedges. My confidence and consistency are at an all time low, and my results are suffering as well. Personally, the E grind is tried and true, and I need to find a way to get my hands on a set with CC groves as soon as possible. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Ryan,  We no longer have CC wedge heads in the lofts that you are looking for, but, of all the wedge designs since the non conforming wedges, the CC's will spin the least.  The closest grind to your original grinds would be the S or F grinds.  Your 52.08 should be very close and a 60.07 S should also be very close.  The other thought is that if you were originally hitting the standard wedge flex shaft, these NS Pro 950 shafts are quite a bit different.  The head will not be where you expect it to be on your shots and could cause inconsistencies.   We would recommend working with a good wedge fitter in your area to find a current wedge that can work for you. If you don't know of a fitter in your area, let us know where you live and we can locate a good wedge fitter for you.

  3. So to clarify, you couldn't order me a 60-07 E grind with the current conforming grooves. The shaft I am comfortable with as I have played with it for years now and love the softness and touch it gives me around the greens.

    Hi Ryan-
The E grind is available with Condition of Competition conforming grooves as an option in the Vokey Hand Ground program. More information on the Hand Ground wedges can be found on Vokey.com.
