  1. Hello,

I am unsure about which Titleist Wedge to choose and I was hoping to get some help. I want to purchase a 58 degree because it goes well with my wedge gaps. I need to the 58 to be the most versatile club in my bag. I need to be able to hit out of the fairway, hit flop shots, and hit sand shots. Is the 58 M Grind better for me or the 58S grind? Thanks

Depends on your swing type, my recommendation would be to go get fit for wedges.  Wedges are vital for scoring, best to have the ones that fit your swing and your game.

  3. I agree with Cole as to what type of pattern of hits you have...I have a digging swing so a K Grind is best for me however depending on your pattern a M or S may be best...

    Good question though!

Greyson, You may want to go hit all the 58's with the different grind.  So much depends on your swing: Are you a sweeper or a digger?  Sweepers can use less bounce and diggers should have a higher bounce.  The normal conditions you play on, for soft courses you would want a higher bounce.  If it is firm less bounce and if it hardpan try minimum bounce.  I have 3 different lob wedges and game which one based on the course and conditions.  Bottom line, you need to try several to get the right grind, bounce and loft.  Also critical is to check the lie.  Without the right lie you won't be able to hit whatever you get.

I have two sm4 wedges a 50* and a 56* I chose the sm4's because I think the sm5's are WAY to fat and don't feel right but that's just my 2 cents.

The general soil conditions of your fairways will impact the choice as will your swing. I was sure I was an S-man until the Tour Van guys recommended an M grind for my 56 with the SM5s based on the local conditions. I was digging too much on the S grind - I kept my existing Spin-Milled lob wedge. Up until then, I didn't think a wedge fitting would offer much.
  7. Thanks so much for all the input. I am kinda a digger, but want to be able to hit a flop shot off of a tight lie. From what I read I may want a m grind for a 58 degree wedge. What are your thoughts?
