How can I get a Vokey with an R grind like the Japanese issued Vokeys?  I need a pre relieved leading edge on my wedge. Can you send in a current Vokey and have them grind it with a pre relieved leading edge?

No. All the JDM (Japan Models) have a pre-worn leading edge. You can also find someone to do the grind for you. It would be nice if wedgeworks incorporated this into their options...

That would be a great option.

    Hi juniorgolfcoach,

Thanks for the post. The TVD-R was a limited release wedge from a few years back and there were a few released on WedgeWorks (only 225) for purchase. Here's the post with some more of the details on the release and the grind itself: http://www.titleist.com/teamtitleist/team-titleist/f/6/t/6350.aspx. However, this is not a current in-line offering.

In terms of sending a wedge back to have the leading edge pre-worn, that is currently not an option that we offer through WedgeWorks services.

However, if you're looking for a truly unique opportunity, you could check out the Bob Vokey Tour Experience as a potential option to have your wedges fit and custom built by Bob. Here's a link with all of the details: http://www.vokey.com/vokey-design/tour-experience.aspx

I've also chatted with the Vokey team and they are more than happy to help offer some other suggestions. Do you mind sharing some details on why you are specifically looking for a pre-worn leading edge?

    Thanks!

Mike,  What are the chances that we will see a return of the TVD-M grind? Need to replace mine and I just love that head!

    Hi, Mike D

I'll share why I like to have the option of a pre-worn leading edge; it's a great grind if you play on Kikuyu grass. If you like the feel of low bounce wedge and want added forgiveness from excessive digging. it's nice for the lower trajectory punch. It moves the contact point further back which also helps in softer conditions.
