  1. Looking to add SM6 wedges to my newly purchased AP2 irons. Always played 52-56-60 but the PW in the AP2's are 46 hence 50-54-58 might be the way to go Any inputs in making my choice easier would be appreciated. Thanks

I use to play 52-56-60 with my old sets. Now that I have 716 AP2s I went with 50.12 F, 54.10 S and 58.8 M Grind. Mind you for my playing style/distances/needs on the course the bounce and grinds are tailored to me. I would get fit for wedges and see what works best for you.
  3. Would love to get fit but no auth Titleist fitter at my pro shop. Did fitting with Trackman for my AP2's and still not sure the XP90 was the right choice for me. Hence not sure if fitting for wedges would get me to the perfect match

I carry to Vokey wedges outside of my normal PW that comes with my 716 AP1S, and they are SM6 50.08, 56.14, both are F grind. Sold my 60 wedge years ago. Do throw in a SM5 54.08 S grind, on occasions, cause I do not hit my wedges far, and like it around 80 yards.

I have the AP1 714 and also have the 50, 54 and 60 SM6. The gapping isn't even but works for me. A fitting would be the best way to go.
  6. Go somewhere you can get a gap analysis done. You want 10 yards between wedges so if you hit the PW 130 you want the next wedge to be 115 to 120. Chances are it'll be 50, 54, 58 but just to be sure I'd go get a gap analysis done
  7. With my new AP2's I went 52, 58 and 64 for my vokey wedges! You can adjust lofts by having them bent strong or weak up to 2 degrees depending on the wedge you are considering and their grind. Keep in mind the bounce will be affected modestly when bending lofts.

    Good Luck!
  8. Generally speaking you want 4-5 degrees between clubs. The longer irons sometimes drop to 3 degrees between clubs.
