You could get the Vokey 48 and have it bent one degree strong....much lower launch...

I also got the 716 AP1s this year and only went to the 47* gap wedge. I carry a 52* Vokey SM5 that I turned down to 51* and a 56* Vokey SM6. Although I don't see the sky high ball flight with the 47, I sometimes like the feel of the Vokeys over the AP1 so I was thinking of changing out the 47 and go to the Vokey. Although I haven't pulled that plug yet, I would be looking at the 46* Vokey and turning it up to a 47 or the 48* Vokey and turning it down to a 47. This way I would keep the gap in the lofts consistent. My current thinking, should I do this, would be to go with the 46* and turn it up as this would also raise the bounce by the same 1 degree. I seem to play my wedges better with about 10* of bounce and the 46 up to 47 would take the bounce up to 9*. I hope this helps a little. Fairways and greens.

I swapped out the AP2 gap wedge (50) for a Vokey after 6 months, and wished I'd done it right away.......You can't go wrong.....

I have the AP1 to PW and then 50, 54 and 60. Slightly irregular gapping in the wedges but it works for me. Have often thought about adding the GW and it is interesting to read that it can offer a very high ball flight as a friend of mine has said the same.

I too ap1s thru pw I have the 47 gap ap1 wedge. And 54 black vokley black f and 58 f black as well the ap1 works better for me as I have Nippon 850'steel shafts and the feel is same thru out but in sandwedges nothing better than the vokleys! Hope this helps?

I'm buying the new 716 ap1's with the XP 90 shaft and I think that will help eliminate the sky high ball flight one would get with the KBS tour 90 shaft. I don't think it's the Wedge, I truly believe its the shaft in this case. Just my thought. Wish me luck.
