  1. Hello! I'm Onni and I'm from Finland. I am going to buy the SM6 wedges but I don't have any idea about the shafts. Can you recommend me some wedge shafts? My swing speed is 90+mp/h. I would like to have shafts that produce a lot spin. The weight doesn't matter but I think regular would be better than stiff.

  2. The regular shaft is a dynamic gold s200. If you want more spin I recommend a KBS HiRev 2.0 or Dynamic Gold Spinner

I personally would get fit from a Certified Titleist Professional. Feel is the most important thing to me and I want to test the clubs with different shafts and get numbers as well as how it feels when swinging.

The advice I will give (and I'm sure many others will as well) is to go get fitted by a Titleist fitter (or a qualified club fitter) where you can try different shafts, flexes, and even grinds.
  5. Hey Onni!

Most players tend to stick with the stock "wedge flex" shaft. Particularly with a swing speed of 90 mph give or take you shouldn't need anything different. However, it is always worth making a trip to your local golf shop for a professional fitting! Not sure how it works in Finland but many shops around here (Seattle, WA) will fit you for free so long as you purchase the clubs from them. Hope that helps!

    Hi Onni,

I would suggest you try to find a club fitter in your area if you really want to find the right shaft. I wouldn't dismiss shaft weight as it plays a HUGE role in helping you deliver the club head to the ball.

    Regards,
    Ben
  7. You could try the Dynamic Gold Spinner shafts

Hi Onni, I could only imagine how it is being so far away- hope all is well in Finland for you.

Anyway, if you have a place out there to get fitted for it, that would be the best approach to all this. However, it sounds like you are on the correct path by stepping down to a regular shaft paired with your stiff set of irons.

In any case, here is a web link to Titleist Shaft offerings so you can compare them to all of what you may select and like before you place your SM6 on order.

Furthermore, I'd like to include a picture/screen shot I took of a respond that Mr. Bob Vokey himself gave during an open forum Q&A here at TT this year. This was one very important piece of information from him that helps me in selecting my SM6 wedges, together with the fitter I worked with during one of the Titleist Thursday session.

    Best.
