  1. Hello to all. I have just bought a new iron set Titleist AP1 716 (5-PW) steel, regular with Shaft XP 90 (R300).

In order to complete the set I would also like to buy the SM6 Steel Grey Vokey Wedges 50/52 and 56.

In this respect I would like to ask for your expertise/opinion on whether these wedges should have the same shaft XP 90 R300 (or XP 95 R300) like the ones of my irons so that I have the same setup/feeling throughout my clubs set.

Any advise/direction would be highly appreciated.

Hi Evan, I'm no expert, but i would try the stock shafts in the wedges first. The swing weight of the wedges is heavier anyway, so they won't feel like the rest of your set. You use the wedges for a variety of shots, not just full swings. Having stiffer shafts will assist in any jerky motions on a short swing versus a regular flex. Last, Vokey wedges are just super smooth as they come standard. I love mine.
  3. Hi S.n and thank you for your reply. I suppose that by "standard" flex you are referring to S200?

Yes, try the S200 first. There's no test like your own test. Despite all the shaft comparison graphs, shaft technology and shaft opinions, you might be pleasantly surprised at how well you personally can play Vokey wedges just as they come out of the box.
  5. Thanks a lot S. n for your comments

I just got fitted for a new set this year. 716 AP1s and a couple of SM6 Vokey wedges. All of my irons, when ordered were set up exactly the same with length adjustments, lie and shafts. I want a matched set.
