Anyone playing the V grind and would it benefit me? I'm a digger and tried the 58K grind at a Titleist Thursday but it doesn't work for me off tight lies or firm ground that well so I was fitted for the 58M but they didn't have any V grinds to try

  2. I play the V Grind religiously and love it. You may be aware the V grind is Mr. Vokey's personal favorite hence the name V Grind!

I prefer the V to the M and L grinds...the K grind is tough off tight lies as you mentioned, I have not had the issue with the V.

    Good Luck!

Haven't tried the V grind, but I've been playing the M for a while and it's good. I feel that the SM6 has more effective bounce on the 60.08M than the SM5 60.08M and that is a little frustrating and taking some getting used to, so I know exactly what you mean. It is a bit tougher in tight lies than the SM5s were.

I'd love to hear how the V grind compares as well.

I'm a digger and have a 4 vokey wedge set up.
    Ordered AMT S400 shafts
    46,50(51),56(55) are F Grind
    60 is K Grind

They work out very well for me in most any condition.

I'm like you, I tend to dig on my wedges and was also fitted for the 58K. I struggled to chip off tighter lies with this club. After some research I ordered a 58V and love it. It gives me the ability to hit full shots but also to manipulate the face around the green, which I wasn't able to do with the K grind. Hope this helps.

The V is for steeper angle swings so I would initially say yes. It is meant for soft to normal conditions as well so if the firm ground is an issue you may want to look at other grinds. The M and the F grind are meant for firm lies so check them out.
