SM6 Wedges - which finish?

david s

I'm currently playing with a couple of SM6s in tour chrome finish which I love, I'm considering ordering some for next season. I'm interested in feedback on the other finishes, in particular in the black, what's the finish like setting up behind a ball and how does it look/deteriorate after a few months use and many visits to the sand? thanks

The Jet Black will wear away with use and the Tour Chrome will be the most robust as it is a plating. Personally, I prefer the the Jet Black as there is not as much glare given off.

I have a 50° in chrome, 54° in steel grey and 58° in jet black. Love them all! I don't visit sand traps often but I do use my 58° anywhere from 75 yards in. There is some wear and I wipe and clean the grooves after each shot. It looks fine in my opinion. I've had them almost a year and I play at least twice a week and go to the range at least twice a week.

Have never swayed from the tour chrome finish. Looks good and the finish holds up extremely well. Why change something that isn't broken as the old saying goes. Change for the sake of change is not always best.

I prefer the black finish as to me it frames the ball to the center of the club yea it wears on finish but it's a cool look

I like the black too. Used to have the raw, as I like them to rust up a little. The rusted finish gets just a spec more of grab and spin I find

I play 52 in chrome and 56 in steel grey and love them both. I use the steel grey frequently out of traps and after 3 months shows very little wear.

I have 50,54,58 sm6 in black. They wear a little but overall look great. I used raw finish before so it doesn't bother me. I feel like I can see and know where the club face is using the darker finish

Jet Black is designed to rust over time also, not as fast as raw but that also depends how you care for your clubs.
