  1. Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a new Scotty Cameron putter, probably a mallet from the Futura line. Is it possible to order these items with custom specs? If so, are these putters built to the custom specs, or are they built stock and adjusted at the Cameron shop?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

    -Chris

    HI Chris,

You should be able to order a Scotty Cameron putter with custom specs. What is suggest to go and get fitted for the one you like, so you know your specs (if you don't know it already) and then when placing your order, you can just tell them the model, length, loft and lie. You can also order it with a specific grip from Scotty Cameron (with an upcharge). If you go on the Scotty Cameron website, you should be able to see all the grips they offer, so you can pick which one you like. Of course, that could change the price a bit and then also require time for them to make it to your specs. But of course, that's a great way to know that the putter is made for you and it will be brand new.

Let us know what you get and post of pic of it after you get it. Love to see how it came out.

    Cheers!

    Sam

  3. Sam is on the money, you basically have two choices for custom options.  The first is basic customizations including length, a few grips and lie angles which can be done through Titleist, more exotic options including a full range of grips, covers, loft/lie extremes etc..etc.. can be done through the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop.

You can order a putter and have it sent directly to the SC Custom Shop therefore, saving yourself a shipping fee but you need to input your order at the SC Custom Shop first then when you order a putter through Titleist just have them ship it to the SC Custom Shop and indicate your Custom Shop Order Number with it!

This is unlike any other manufacturer for those like us that want lots of customized features.

    Good Luck!

  4. Awesome. When I go to order a putter where would be the best place to do that? Is it not possible for me to order directly off of your website? Do I need to go to a retailer (ie Golf Galaxy) and have them order it for me?

Exactly, you can visit any Titleist Distributor and they will order it for you.  You cannot order directly from SC.  Make sure you have all your specs in order, they will need those!

I prefer to visit local pro shops at golf courses via big box retailers.  IMHO

I'm like Chris and I prefer to go to a local pro shop to test Scotty's (if they have them) as they are a bit more willing to give you the time and attention you need over a big box retailer. I'm not saying those bigger stores aren't good, but with the volume of customers they deal with and that they want to sell you whatever, seems to be more of the trend there, than a local pro shop.

As Chris mentioned, you cannot order directly from Scotty Cameron, but the local pro shop can send in your order and specs to Titleist and have it built and sent to you. Or you can take the other route and just pick up a stock putter that you like and send it to Scotty Cameron Studios yourself and have them tweak and customize it for you (you can complete the order and pick what you want directly from the Scotty Cameron website).

Let us know what you decide to do and post a picture of the putter you get.

    Cheers!

    Sam
