I tested both of theach 2014 and 2016 before I bought the 2.5 and the new insert feels softer than the 2014 one did.

I have played both models and I feel they have different sounds, which translates into feel. I think Scotty hit a home run IMHO with the new models and would not hesitate picking one up!

If you are not sure, demo one at your local Titleist dealer...you will not regret it!

I'm thinking of giving the Newport a roll prefer no sight lines of the 2014 Newport

These are my Newport 2's....So Different yet so much alike.

I have Newport select no site line I too tried new model yes softer feel but I like mine better I think it's such a personal preference with golfers on must of what is in their bag example I on advice of my dr and friends tryedGraf shafts in irons ( older golfer) I now have new ap1 716s in 850 Nippon steel I'm much happier point being we as golfers are border line crazy in a good way

I have the Black NP2 with deep milling and I'm VERY intrigued on the insert as it will give similar sound/feel as deep milling. Love the big Titleist script on the face!

I'll get one eventually and send it to the Custom Shop to be turned to Black. The black finish is awesome!

Only compliant is that he didn't put GSS insert (or offer it as a custom option). Made me think of a much better looking Studio Style!
