Hi TT, I'm an avid Cameron Crazy, and absolutely love the covers and lifestyle apparel, but the putters recently have me yearning for a simpler time. I'm fortunate enough to own several oil can models and several good old fashion carbon steel models. I realize they're a bit more cumbersome from a maintenance perspective, but nothing IMO looks or feels better than a carbon steel flat stick. Anyone else out there with me?

Honestly, Josh, having started play back in the 50's and going through probably a couple dozen putters over the years. I'd have to say that today's putters are better and since I went to a SC my putting average has improved right to the best part of my game.

However, a putter is just something flat to propel the ball a short distance. All feel and mostly confidence. So if the older putters work for you that's all that matters.
  3. Completely agree. Love the look and ease of care with stainless but miss the feel and look of oil can

I wish he would bring them back and dump all the gimmick putters, a Napa would be awesome, I game a studio design 2.5 in that black pearl finish. and really like it.

I here you! Some of these new sticks look like space stations. I really love the older look and feel, and I hope they make a comeback.
  6. I agree, I love the oil can look! Gorgeous as it ages as well...

yup... After seeing your collection and comparing it to the new style today, I love the oil can and the old fashion look... The newer model look too "AI" for me, if that makes any sense....

Oil Can putters are very pretty. But, of course their mass appeal is limited by the high maintenance.

I'm still using my oil can putter...wouldn't trade it for anything.
