  1. I currently have a GOLO 5R and am looking to buy a new putter. I need help on fast greens but also with short putts. Kind of between both putters now, and just trying to figure out which is best.

  2. The X7m is more of a SBST (Straight Back Straight Through) putter which also provides a higher MOI thus providing more of a forgiving strike. The Newport is a completely different putter with more toe flow and smaller sweet spot, thus if you were deciding between the two the X7m is probably a better choice.

As far as your comments about fast greens, depending on whether you prefer a light or heavy putter I would recommend buying a weight kit for either putter (they use the same weight kit, can be purchased at ScottyCameron.com). Either putter will work on fast greens bottomline.

    Good Luck!

I went from a newport select to the Futura X didn't really care for it like it was said above different putter I have played Select putters for about 10 years but looking for the mallet for a little help didn't work for me but then went the Newport Select M2 and it the the best putter I have ever owned best of both worlds blade look and mallet feel you might give it a try

Recently got the new 2016 Newport Select putter and it is awesome..... Had been putting with a Golo the past few years and really liking the feel and set up with the Newport. Easy to line up now with the sight line now on the Newport and feedback is incredible... It is definitely a little less forgiving on mishits than some on the mallets Scotty offers but I feel this makes me a better putter as I'm more focused on solid contact.... Would highly recommend the Newport if you like the look of a blade putter..................

I am wondering about the differences between the FuturaX5 and the Furura X7M.
I am more of a straight back straight putter. Which should I focus on?
