  1. My clubs were stolen from my car which was parked in my driveway on Father's day. Normally, I bring my clubs in, but we went to dinner with my parents that night, and I left the clubs there when we got home. My 2014 Select Newport 2.5 was one of the casualties. I could not find the exact putter, so I ended up with the 2016 Newport 2.5 with the additional faceplate. Originally, I could not really notice any difference, but now after 50 rounds, I am looking at my putting stats and I have gone from 1.68 putts per green, down to 1.64. For people who track their putts you will understand this is a significant improvement. Birdies per 18 holes are up accordingly. I am the same person, if anything not hitting as may practise putts at home as we now have a 14 month old lab who loves to chase golf balls. Therefore, I have to conclude that the equipment is an upgrade. Thanks Scotty.

  2. Equipment upgrade or your getting better? Same grip and putter length I take it. Possible the facing on your old putter could have been worn a bit and your putting more consistent with the new flat stick. Also, with your new irons perhaps your proximity to the hole is better and therefore your putts are a little shorter. Either way congrats. at least that is a little comfort from getting your sticks stolen.

Yup, I have to say that these new Scotties are pretty awesome. I have the M2 and everything about it just feels right.
