  1. Hi TT, is there any reason SC won't sell certain putter headcovers (i.e Jackpot Johnny). Advice from the custom shop was send my putter back to them to get the cover. I live in South Africa, the cost would be greater than the putter is worth. I want a new cover because the one on my new 5W is absolute rubbish, it's miles to big.......................very disappointing! I have a 5R and a Golo 5 both of which have reasonable quality covers. Good putters very poor customer service, IMO.

Hi Steve, you can pick these up from eBay but I recommend to research the buyer first and there's quite a few selling fakes. Avoid the ones who are selling with private feedback and numbers of the same design, you'll normally find a true seller who are thinning out their collection will be selling various one off individual ones.
Scotty's policy of sending in your putter is the only way of picking up Custom Shop headcovers such as the Jackpot Johnny, but they do release limited offering such as the Major and Ryder Cup commemoratives through their online shop, (check out the headcover archive)
If you register or join as a Club Cameron member you can get updates when these become available. you can buy them online without having to send in your putter.
Another more reliable source is the Cameron Collector Forum, run by trusted Cameron collectors, there's a classified section their where they sell tour putters, off the rack putters, accessories and headcovers, I've collected Cameron stuff over the years and I've used this as a sound source. There's also some good topics and discussions on the forum so its worth registering. www.cameroncollector.com/forum
    Hope this helps

  4. Thanks Guys, I appreciate the feedback. My next step is Acushnet UK which maybe a better option than Acushnet SA, as my son's live in Uk,

I think you'll find that Acushnet UK will tell you or your son to go through your local Titleist retailer and they are only likely to be able to obtain the generic headcovers for the off the rack range, as far as I'm aware the only selling point for the custom headcovers is the Custom shop, but good luck and let me know how you get on.
  6. Thanks David. The cover that comes with putter doesn't deserve to go into my bag.
As I'm not a Scottyite! I might try and get an Futura X cover which seem reasonably available (not here in RSA) and fits nicely or get an aftermarket one. I'm definately into paying meggabucks for a cover.

I would go with Ebay as you can find a good seller from there

I agree Steve. I don't know SC makes it so difficult to buy certain items from them that aren't really anything that special. All it does is force customers to roll the dice on buying it 2nd hand somewhere else and possibly getting a fake. I think it's a terrible practice.
  9. Hi John, I have a Golf Pride SNSR on a GOLO and I think that it is every bit as good a the SC Matador Mid Size...................but that's a personal opinion.
